HARCO HEAVY LIFTING replaces two SGRE 3.6 + 4.0MW gearboxes
HARCO Heavy Lifting recently completed a Main Compnents Exchange project at Dantysk and Sandbank offshore wind farms, replacing two gearboxes on SGRE 3.6MW and 4.0MW WTGs. Despite facing adverse weather conditions, the project was completed successfully, thanks to good partners and thorough planning.
Performing Main Component Exchanges Offshore is subject to several potential challenges.
Component variations, potential tool breakdown and other unforseen challenges will cause severe cost increase, and lower the WTG availability.
One of HARCOs primary focus areas is risk mitigating all potential scenarios, by thorough planning briefing and redundancy.
This way we support our customers in obtaining safe operations and high availability.
The successful completion of this project at Dantysk and Sandbank offshore wind farms is a testament to the dedication and expertise of the HARCO Heavy Lifting team, as well as the importance of strong partnerships in the offshore wind industry.
